    Halloween Costume

Yes! Pics when you're done are a must! As for color, I think I'd go a plum colored purple velvet. (Except I'd use the dark color for the main part of the dress & the lighter color as the center--but that's just me!) Can't wait to see it when you're done, no matter what color you use!

    miniature coat colors

I'd suggest the book "Miniature Horses: Their Care, Breeding and Coat Colors" by Barbara Naviaux. It's out of print, but I got my copy from Ebay. It has a whole chapter on coat color, including 70+ color photos of coat colors in the back of the book. Also, it's the best all around book I've...

    Forum bullies

In my limited experience dealing with "big horse" people, I have found two different types: the people who are the nicest, most informative and helpful people around AND the disdainful people who believe that if you weren't born in a saddle, you have no right to even LOOK at a horse, let alone...

    Anyone remember my "Baby Chrissy"???

I think she's gorgeous, Marty, and I love the story, too. Do you have any baby pics you could post for those of us who haven't been around very long?

    New kitty painting

You're amazing--my first thought was that it was real!!! Your detail (especially with the mingled hairs on the face and the oh-so-delicate whiskers) is exquisite! And the expression in the cat's eyes....you have a rare talent!

Thanks guys! I'll see what I can do. I was just lucky to have a "helper" that particular day, and that was the was she set him up. I've never done it before, and I was trying to do it myself before she came along. Not much fun! I'll repost pictures when I'm able!

These photos were taken from a crouched position (I thought I was st his level!) ...should I actually lay with my stomache on the grass? Would that be too low? And should the viewfinder be aimed at mid-barrel, just behind the shoulder, or....??? Any additional tip or tricks for getting that...

I'm back again! This is my other colt, "On The Rise Farm's SS Dynamic Twist," by Sami's Soap Suds and out of Two Eagles Cheyenne Autumn, a daughter of Hobby Horse Hill's Moon Shadow. He was foaled 6/4/2008. He was measured 2 months ago at 29 3/4 or so. He will be gelded this fall. I would...

    Advice on how to resize...

I have tried everything I can think of when posting pics on the Lil Beginning forum, but the problem I keep coming up with is that it's too big. I've tried resizing with the help of online websites, then uploading them to Picture Trail with no (apparent) problem...but when I follow the...

    Critique, Please!

His breeder called him "silver smokey black." His sire is a cremello and his dam a silver dapple. Thanks for the reply! I've been anxiously waiting a response!

    Critique, Please!

I'm keeping an open mind, but I was definately would like for my son (going on three) to be able to ride him when he's older. Maybe jumping, obstacle or driving, if he has the knack for it. But, of course, that's on down the line. If anyone can give me any pointers on posting a decent picture...
