2007 Foaling is done & SevenAcres Farm is Moving!

HI Everyone! It's been so long since I've been here and I have missed you guys. I can't begin to explain all that's happened this long year since David's accident last July. I feel like I'm coming out the other end of a long tunnel & am finding sunshine again! I've kept up with a lot of...

    Grey miniatures born solid pictures

Here is a picture of our only grey at birth. Her sire had also greyed out. Then here she is as a 3 year old. Her mane/tail and forelock were sunbleached at the time. They're still jet black at the base. Debi

    Remebering a truely amazing Gelding

He was a beautiful gelding indeed. I lost one of my very special horses a month ago so can understand your pain. Mathew was only 7 years old when we lost him but I'll always remember the many things he taught me in his short life. Debi

What a difference a picture can make

Melissa, I've been away from the Net for awhile so had no idea who took the original pictures. So please don't think that my response was directed at you. If you could see some of the pics I took 6/7 years ago you'd feel real good abt your first efforts! :

What a difference a picture can make

Very good examples, Tony. Several years ago my closest friend drilled this one phrase into my head while teaching me good photography. "No picture is better than a bad picture".

Our foaling season is over &

I believe that he was here, too. Christy dreamed abt him a lot during her surgery in Houston but also fully believes he came to her once while she was awake. All I know is that she was much calmer mentally after she "saw" him smiling at her & saying what a strong brave girl she was. Thank you...

    Shoulder Injury

Jan, several years ago I had a young mare with a shoulder injury. It was a long road but she did get almost completely normal again. I stopped the stall rest because I couldn't see improvement so I left her out all the time. She stopped getting worse after that. If they've ruled out bone...

Jan, I love you girl and THANK both Mandy and you for dropping everything to come help us. I know you got behind at your own farms the two weeks you stayed. Hugs, my friend. Some of my Barn Cam forum members have started an adopt a horse (horses stay home at SevenAcres) for us. I couldn't...

Our foaling season is over &

Last two mares were from new crossings so we were really excited about it. The night of David's Funeral Home viewing Emily (next to last due by Buster) was really ready to foal. I told her as we left that she was all alone to take care of things if anything happened. We've NEVER left a mare...

Thank you all so very much

The love, compassion and generosity of my fellow forum members through the Auction & your many cards has been overwhelming. We have gone through so much the last 6 weeks. We lost David’s mother two weeks to the day before we lost David. The next week I had surgery for recurring bladder...

Horse for sale, I DO want honest answers,

Carolyn, I think 1500 is absolutely too low for her. That said I myself wouldn't pay 4000 unless she were double registered with exposure in both. Like Lyn I am not saying anything deragatory but we've never sold one of our horses on the sales board here. We get the prices we ask but they...

    Just talked to Marty ...

Marty said yesterday they had already explained to Sonny abt what happened to Michael. They've had him the boys entire lives so I'm sure he does sense something bad is going on. She said that Michael also was Sonny's main handler.... Debi

Marty, no words I can say will help you at a time like this. I honestly can't find anything to say to begin to express my sorrow to each of you. Just know that from this thread alone you can see the love and concern going out to you from all over the world. Hopefully it can give you a small...
