This thread and the "Newbies" one has inspired me to geld one of our two year old that I have been on the fence about for awhile! He is not perfect for breeding and I want to show him in the gelding classes at the shows!

I agree from what I have seen some of the halter horses can only do halter, not sure that should be the only goal for breeding miniature horses. I still think minis need stallion testing to get registered as breeding stallions if you want to limit and improve the registry...Friesian horses go...

Craigslist is very sad here..free horses all look so unhealthy..

I agree with this. They have to learn to move away from pressure and be accepting of it. I like using the but end of the whip.

Glad we answered the question about the rules and am glad the people on this forum care about the horses well being to speak up.

I would hope that a bit would be against the rules. It is hard enough to keep you hands steady when riding horses over jumps, never mind steady contact while running next to them. sounds unfair to me.

I have Friesians and one gets the red in his coat. I did use this for show seasons and it really does work. The shampoo not the feeding supplement. The shampoo worked great so I did not need the feeding supplement. I used the black as Knight.
