    Windows Vista or Windows XP

I have Vista on my laptop and I would definitely say stay with Windows XP!! Vista is annoying and definitely not any improvement, IMO. Your other items, such as printer and scanner may not be compatible with the Vista. My sister had to buy both new. Shelley

    Music Editing?

I remember hearing them announce at AMHR Nationals last year that you could not use a CD you had burned yourself, as their player wouldn't recognize it. I know some of the older players won't play the homemade ones. I guess I might be afraid of getting to a show and not having my music come...

    Update on Court *shocking*

I am so sorry. This worthless piece of scum should never be allowed to see the light of day again. Shelley

    Anyone Show Dogs here too?

I've been showing dogs since the late 70's, started with Afghan Hounds, changed to Siberian Huskies in the early 80's, then came back to the Sighthounds (Salukis) 15 years ago. If you're also showing the horses it's a whole 'nother "thing" to do. Dog showing is a lifestyle. We pull our horse...

    Shipping a puppy to Germany

Some countries require quarantine. I am not sure if Germany is one of them. Hopefully the USDA will know all the rules. Good luck and let us know what you find out! Shelley

What is the world coming to?

Just got my 1st grader's valentines ready to go! Here, they still celebrate everything. Even have Santa at the Christmas party, and the principal dresses up as his elf. There was one little boy in his class who did not attend on Halloween as his family does not believe in dressing up...

    westminster dog show

We had a little "Westminster watching party" here last night which will continue tonight. Our "Superbowl", LOL! I've wasted all morning so far watching breed videos. Need to run out to the store to refresh the snack supply for tonight. Will be waddling by tomorrow. Shelley

How do you let go of a good Friend(pets)

15-1/2 is very old, it's a credit to you that Havic has had such a long life. It sounds like it has been a very good one, and he has been very loved. My beloved Trulee graced us by just going to sleep in a dog bed and not waking up at just shy of 15 years old on Dec. 2. While I still grieve...

    Another small puppy brag

I realize they could all be in for Winner's Bitch at the same time! Moxie's breeder will probably be coming with me, and I know someone else who I'm sure would handle one for me if he was available too (of course if some saluki person was available..hint hint! LOL) That is crazy that we were...

    Glory Foaled

She's a doll for sure!!! Good thing it was a filly, a boy named Erica would have been pretty funny! Guess he would have been Eric? No foals for us this year, Boo hoo! Shelley

    Another small puppy brag

I know Shelley!!! I sooo can't wait!!!! I'm hoping to take her to the Midland show in May....not a big show, but Moxie loved it there last year! And of course I still have 5 more points to finish Moxie (but she has both her majors ) and Lainey....so I have to figure out HOW I want to show...

    Another small puppy brag

So glad you are having so much fun with them, Kathryn!! If you think this is fun, just wait until you get that first big major from the bred by class.... Shelley

    Question about Dog shows

No. Dog shows were originally intended to be a method to compare and improve breeding stock. You are allowed to show a neutered/spayed animal however at breed specific specialty shows in the Veterans Class (7 years and over). There are so many other activities you can enjoy at the shows...

    Erica's Geisha is acting funny

Hey Erica, I think LiveWire just wanted his buddies back home to get a little taste of what he's having to deal with up here in coooold, snowy Michigan! Great pic!! Hope Geisha pops that baby out soon before she makes everybody crazy! Shelley

anyone have Caviler King Charles Spaniels?

Actually, that's not out of line for a puppy from a reputable breeder. Show puppies will typically run you $2,500 - $3,500.00.....they "ain't" cheap! And then you have to learn how to do their coats. The standard says they should be shown in a natural state - sounds good....but NOT. Shelley

anyone have Caviler King Charles Spaniels?

We have one! We LOVE her! The one drawback to us is the barking. She does bark a LOT. I have friends though that say theirs do not...so maybe it's just her? They are supposed to be very friendly. One problem is that Lizzie thinks that everybody and everything loves her just as much...
