2nd foal for The Crabby Chicken Ranch...

Hello all!

I posted on here a couple days ago that I had a mare testing ready to go. No such luck. She was highest on Calcium and lowest on PH but just wouldn't let that baby go. The only other time that I have had that happen, the birth was a red bag...

SURE ENOUGH! She started labor at 1 am on May Day and the dreaded red bubble appeared. But to make matters worse, it was an extremely tight fit.. So I thought I had lost her before she came out, seemed to take forever. She came out all floppy but as soon as I put a finger in her mouth she said" Hidey Ho!" and has been racing ever since...

Here she is out of our Rio, and by Half Measures GM Too Hot To Gamble. Now I am liking CCR Too Hot's Notorious for a name! But we were thinking of a Duran Duran name. They are doing great. Her Mama walks everywhere with her head down taking slow steps to keep and eye on her baby.

Oh my gosh, I saw this while I was at work & I couldn't post until I got home. Then I thought, OH I need to check my cell phone for any pics......well, darn phone is deader than a doornail....... go figure.
