Amazing what one can accomplish with some simple knowledge of horse instincts and herd behaviors.

Amazing!

I love how it's noted that it is *women* who accomplished this ... I've long known women are much more talented with horses than men - which is the same reason most top barns don't employ men. You accomplish more when you use your brains instead of your brawn!

...and so it begins...cheap shots for everyone!

Wonderful video, enjoyed it, what can I say women have the answers :aktion033:

That was AMAZING !! Those are some extremely brave women to risk their lives and the lives of their beloved mounts to save these horses. :worshippy: The "bridge" of horses across the water took my breath away and the music...very appropriate. My hats off to these gals.

There are ALWAYS exceptions to the rule and I find you to be one of them.

WOW!! Robin,

That video is awesome! I felt like I was there and a part of the rescue! It is amazing how trusting the horses were. How sad that 18 of them were lost but how wonderful that the rest were saved.

Thanks for sharing - I'm so glad I took the time to view the video!!

The video was loading way too slow for me, but if it is the one of the horses that were stranded on the sandbar during a flood in Holland, Jenn, the day before they were actually rescued my HUSBAND said "why doesn't someone ride out and try to get them to follow?"

There may be more women than men who have a way with horses, but there are plenty of men who do. My hubby has always had way more patience and common sense in dealing with horses than most women I have known in my lifetime!

One horse would not follow and spent a night alone.....it may help your wounded pride to know it was a man went back and got it the next day!!!

The owner of theses horses faces prosecution for not removing them sooner +any expenses incurred in rescuing them- well done, Dutch authorities!!!
