What a difficult situation! Whatever happened , there is NO excuse whatsoever for abandoning you there, it just shouldn't be done.

God bless Lee for coming to the rescue. I never met him, but I have been hearing nice things about him for MANY years. He gace a clinic for our Keystone Miniature Horse club, but I couldn't get out of work( I am an R.N.) and missed it. I hope he does it again and I get to go.

Aubrey

Again Congratulations on you show this week. :aktion033: :aktion033:

I am so sorry whoever this is, is treating you and your horse like this.

This is extremely bad behavior, and very MEAN. I can't believe someone

would or could treat another person like this, especially a youth.

I am so happy to read you found rides for you and your horse. How so scary to

be hundreds of miles from home and no way to get home. This person who did

this, is horrible. But where there is one bad apple, there is an awesome one,

a Big Thank You to Lee for making sure you get home. And a big Thank You

for who ever is taking Bruce home. (sorry not sure if its Lee or another person).

But it shows there are some really great people in our horse world.

Again, glad you found a ride home.

Lee

Thank You for getting Aubrey and Bruce home. :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033:

What a horrible thing to do to someone, especially a kid. Aubrey, I'm so glad to see that you have a ride home.

Thank You Lee for seeing that Aubrey is taken care of! :aktion033:

I have no idea of what has transpired to create this situation. Irregardless of the circumstances, NOBODY should be abandoned 1200 miles away from home!!! I am really sorry this has happened to you and am so thankful for the wonderful mini owners who are getting you and your horse home. :aktion033:

Oh My goodness! Don't these people have a conscience to have left this child behind, mainly in this day and age with all this crime going on! What were they thinking.

Thank you so much Lee for getting this child home. You are for sure a guardian angle!

:aktion033:

This is absolutely unbelievable....and unforgivable!

Lee....I've only met you once, for a brief few minutes....but thought you were a true gentleman. You are indeed, a "class act"!

:new_shocked:

How awful! I'd have been scared out of my boots. But looks like you've got a ride home for you and your pony.

: Fortunatly there are a lot of good people around at Nationals and are so willing to step up and help.

Whoever is so low to leave a teenager and their pony 1200 miles from home. SHAME SHAME SHAME. I don't care what the circumstances are, there are things you just don't do! :new_argue:

Aubrey sending best wishes that you and your horse will have a safe trip home. You are young so just remember this - you cannot always trust some (friends ?) Friendship is not at the top of the list for some people.

: For future purposes keep this in mind & try to have an alternate plan just in case... Have a safe trip.

I don't know what caused the rift between you and your "friends" but there is no excuse or possible justification for abandoning someone 1200 miles from home! Shame on them!!!!! :nono: :nono: I hope this haunts them for the rest of their lives.

Thank God for wonderful people like Lee! Lee, you are awesome. Thank you for once more stepping up and helping someone in need.

Lee. I would just like to say I have never met you but would certainly one day like to do so.

I would like to shake your hand and thank you, personally, just for being the person that you are.

Naturally.

You are a gentleman, sir, and I applaud you.

As the saying goes there are two sides to every story but regardless leaveing a child and horse behind is a criminal act and the police should be sitting at there door ready to cuff them. I don't care what the cause was to let such a terrible thing happen to someone and if it was because of your placeing better then these ppl then these ppl should be whippped. To all the offers to help this young fellow out well these are the ppl you want to trust and associate with. As for the villians of this situation I wish I knew who it was as these ppl are the type of ppl I wish not to deal with in any manner regardless. As a young person in life take this as a learnning in life and move on as you still have the whole world out there to enjoy.

I've been thinking about this all morning. If I were Aubrey's parents, I think I'd seriously consider filing a police report. It seems like it would have to be illegal to abandon a minor half way across the country!

Aubrey, so sorry these "so called friends" did this to you, they should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. I am so glad that Lee and others have offered to help you and your horse get home :aktion033: :aktion033: It must have been so scary for you not to know how you would get yourself and your horse back home. As a mother I can imagine how your parents are feeling about this, I know I would be wanting to "talk" to these people. Hugs to you

I'm under the impression Aubrey is actually 18? Doesn't make it any less unacceptable, but it doesn't make it illegal. No legal big stick to smack them around with.

Yeah!!! We have never met but thanks Lee!! What a nice thing to do!! (some people are just too rotten- but remember the ol' karma thing and what goes around comes around!!)

I hated to post again but was bothering me as I have a kid too!

The law

Abandonment of minor.

(1) A person is guilty of abandonment of a minor when, as a parent, guardian or other person legally charged with the care or custody of a minor, he deserts the minor in any place under circumstances endangering his life or health and with intent to abandon him.

(2) Abandonment of a minor is a Class D felony.

Again Lee, Thank the Lord for people like you. Your a life saver!!

Joyce

Yep, thank you, Lee, for stepping up (as well as the others who volunteered).

You are as kind and generous as they come and I've long respected you for many other reasons. This just adds another.

Safe travel, Aubrey, Bruce and Lee, too!
