This has been circulating to various people, and I guess I just thought everyone would like to know why it's concerning.

I wish we would get information first as in some sort of public announcement to the membership. Wanda is a very important person to many of us as we (the membership) generally deal with her several times a year and I'm thinking this well may affect us.

I'm sorry if I was out of line. I didn't think to ask Mary Lou, but if they decide to remove it, I'll understand and apologize ahead of time. In the future, I WILL ask about things of this nature.

I wasn't going to post on this topic but I took offense at one post.

I don't mean to be rude but I take exception to the post that said the problem in the office isn't a concern of the members. The AMHA is a member-governed oragnization, so if (and that is the operative word IF) there is an issue that could mean serious financial ramifications for AMHA, it concerns us all!

I understand that the directors are fully aware of the situation and are taking steps to handle it.

I had not seen Wanda's resignation letter, but I have had several emails regarding this mess. I have not heard all sides and won't pass judgement on any individuals. I do think it reflects badly on our association though to have this scenario repeated time and again. Internal office workings are not necessarily the business of the general membership, but when rumors are flying (again) and membership is getting bits and pieces that may not present an unbiased picture, AMHA needs to step up and put out the fires.

I joined AMHA (finally!) a year ago, I currently don't own any horses registered with AMHA (working on a few of my mares--$$$$) and I'M getting these emails.

I grew weary of AMHA's nonstop drama back when the McPherson saga was occurring.

I DO THINK that the membership has a right to be informed and that this should not be swept under the rug as other problems have been in the past.

......sigh.......

I'd certainly support the organization by showing more if AMHA could straighten it up and fly right. But until that happens, I spend my money with AMHR shows. Simple fact of business.

Just makes me more happy with my decision as of a couple of years ago to no longer be a member of AMHA

As far as people knowing and ML getting in trouble.. this is an email going around, the issue isnt about protecting AMHA or anyone on the board but letting the members know and protecting the members, looks like another long ugly road

I do agree though that thru all my own personal issue with AMHA the one I could always talk to was Wanda who couldnt always fix my problems but sure tried she will be sorely missed by many I am sure.

I agree completely.

I also do not intend to take sides, not knowing the situation. However, I too had a good experience with working with Wanda over the years. I'm sorry she is leaving, just for my selfish reasons.

Well, I am an AMHA member and have been for three years. I have not heard a thing about this squabble until reading this thread. I am not personally acquainted with any of the people involved, but have always been treated courteously when I called with a question or problem.

I am not taking sides as I don't know what has happened. However, I find it interesting that someone who told me some time ago that they no longer register their horses AMHA (when I inquired about one listed for sale) seems to know so much about what is going on in the office and how it should be handled.

I can understand everyone's concern for the registry, and your want to not be left out, but this seems like an issue that needs to be dealt with by the elected officials. This does not appear to be an issue that the memberships help is needed to resolve. Step by step emails telling who said what to who and why would just cause what it is causing, AMHA bashing and speculations. I am not sure where all of the emails are coming from, but they are obviously just creating more confusion than solving it. The AMHA's position has always been Contact Your Directors. My expectations would be that the directors would let us know what is going on when we ask them and once it is resolved, if a change is made that effects the members, something would be included in the World or on the Website.

It seems that people are going to complain either way though ...
