I am really confused, I received a letter telling me my colt cant be registered until the sire who is three gets dna'd. I thought that this only applied when the horse was five. We have registered other foals out of young stallions without having them dna'd. I know they have to be dna'd before you can get Permanent papers on their foals but I have never had this trouble with getting temporary papers on my foals. Is this in the rulebook, I cant find anywhere in the book or online that says this. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
edited to add: It isnt too big of a deal to have the stallion dna'd and they were planning on doing it next year since the rule is being changed to 3yrs on Jan. 1 but I wanted my paperwork soon and now I will have to wait for the stallion owner to send for the dna kit and then send the dna to the lab and wait for the results. Just hoping that they made a mistake and I can find information to use to get them to process my paperwork
