I heard that the jumps at the AMHR National show are scary. What are they like? Does anyone know? It's my first time going there.

I can tell you the past 3 years they were VERY disappointing.. just nothing but PVC rails and standards all white.. a few flower bushes.. nothing at all that I would expect to see at a National level. In fact I have shown in ID with jumps and courses 10 times as difficult as those. At least last year the course was a bit more difficult (again no where near National level IMO) but better then the plain horse shoe course of years past

HOpefully that will change soon though

Last year the jumps at Tulsa were supplied by Premier Equestrian.

Check out this page - these were the jumps - they did not use the big wing standards - just the schooling standards. http://www.horsejumps.net/pages/pvc_pony_jumps.html

The clay colored wall caused lots of problems because it matched the arena floor and the horses could not determine where the ground line was - there was no pole.

They also had Burlingham stacker jumps set up as and in & out .

See everybody on Tuesday !!!
