I believe our stable got booked at Best Western for $55/night. I don't believe they were booked when my mom made reservations. I can't go this year due to school but am looking forward to hearing about it and seeing pics. You'll see me next year. :aktion033:
We are staying at the Tulsa Sleep Inn and suites. We have a suite with king bed and queen pull out and kitchenette. Last year it only cost 500. for the whole 11 days.Dont know if they are full but I know Bruce booked the room in March.
My parents are staying at Holiday Inn select, 2 double beds were $89/night. They booked it yesterday. They called the Microtell but its a 7 day minimum.
Me I'm staying in the luxurious stall for just $50 for the whole time I'm there
we are staying at the Hawthorn Suites, stayed there last year. It has a bedroom with king bed and separate living room with a pull out sofa bed. It has a full kitchen, and every morning it has a free full breakfast buffet with bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits & gravey, pancakes and don't remember everything else. In the evenings they have free drinks and different things for free dinner, one night chili dogs, one night pasta's don't remember the others as we didn't make it back that early most evenings. I got the room for $65.00 a night for 3 adults. Can't beat the price with meals included.
We stay at the RV park on the show grounds. The showers are very nice and clean, though you have to time it right in the AM so you don't have to wait in line. Staying in a stall there isn't bad, but the trailer has AC :bgrin . There are tons of motels within 10 minutes of the show grounds though.
Having my son who lives just up the highway about 30 minutes bring his hardside pop up camper to the RV park. He will have it set up and the A/C on before I even get there. So nice to get the horses settled in take the necessities over to the camper and settle in. When you only really need a place to sleep and nice clean showers with lots of HOT WATER and a laundry facility at the RV park it is a nice way to go. It worked out great last year.
Hopefully next year I'll have my gooseneck trailer reconditioned and it will be ready to use.
Only suggestion--if you are staying at the RV park and want to leave you vehicle parked at the barns you need some type of transportation such as a Golf Car, scooter, gator, etc as the RV park is about 2 blocks from the main arena and barn so be prepared for that or you will do a lot of walking.
