We had another photo session this week with Jenn Davis' (bluerogue) assistance. We literally dragged our boys out of the pasture, knocked the dust off them, trimmed a few long hairs off their chins, fetlocks and took photos. We really wanted to bathe/clip, but instead of photos of six we'd probably have only two done!

It has been fun so far - but we still have many more to go!

Another lesson learned - no matter how many halters you have - you won't have the right one for every horse! I felt like Goldilocks but instead of porridge trying to find the right halter - to big, to small, wrong color, wrong nose band!

Here are some of the boys - we have a few more to do next week! Thank you Jenn!

Wesco Farms Primo - one of our recent geldings.

My daughter's 2yr old stallion (his two half brothers were gelded last month) Wesco Farms Rohans Echo ET (Buck Echo grandson).

Wesco Farms Toy4Me Token - I love this guys sire (have two sister's left) - he's getting appy to add to his bay roan. Token may get gelded too, so we an show him in the gelding classes next year!

Wesco Farms The Roger Baron - he's such a sweetie. Lots of patience and gentle personality like his daddy!

Homee - Rocking M 3T Ice Tee - one of his buddies has been munching on his mane & tail - but he's still a pretty boy and homozygous! He's getting a full roster of mares next year!

Monsoon was the last one - we were all tired, and sunburned. He wasn't thrilled either, so we didn't get to many complimentary shots of him. It's amazing the odd things a mini can do when they want! At the end of all this we also realized we'd forgot to measure everyone! Monsoon was the only one we sticked - all 26.50" of him!

Hey Michelle..

Good Job! I really like Token, he would make a great gelding! And, of course you know me and appaloosas... (LOL!) so just have to ask about Monsoon... :bgrin Can you tell me a little more about him?

I really hope we get to see you guys out again next year... we are going to have a lot of fun!!

Susan, Monsoon is sired by Sunnyside Iben Spotted and out of a Buckeroo granddaughter. Monsoon is a sweety, he had just had enough of our clipping, and trying on halters, and other various picture taking tortures. He is a sorrel snowcap, with possibly silver, as he does have the real light flaxen mane and tail (as does his dam). But he could just be a sorrel with flaxen, as no one in his immediate pedigree is a known silver (that I know of. I am more familiar with his dam's side than his sire's). He is a total sweety, though, and is easy to deal with. Both of his parents are like that, too. Hope I answered some of your questions!

Michelle, they look great! I don't think we did too bad with the halters. The only one I'm not so fond of in the photos is the one on Baron. Baron's just didn't do much for him. He has such a beautiful head. I'll be ready for the next installment as soon as my sunburn goes away! Which shouldn't take too long, as it's not nearly as bad as it could have been. Just let me know when, and I'll be there.

Michelle,

Your thread title made me laugh. I remember the thread where you said that you knew you had to get new photos on your site! GOOD JOB! It's just one of the necessary EVILS!
