I have officially purchased my first riding horse! I have ridden for about 8 years or more, and I got my first mini about 5 years ago, and I have definately missed the riding aspect before the minis. I was looking around for a while and I finally found the perfect match!
I ended up finding this thoroughbred gelding, named Parker
He was a race horse when he was younger, and then he became a english show horse on the A circuit. After his english career, he was used for barrel racing/reining-that kind of thing. For the past 2 months, he has been doing clicker training. This boy is definately a "been there done that" kinda of boy, which I am very happy with. I am sure he can teach me so much more than I already know about riding, and I am very excited to have him home.
It will be neat to see what he thinks of all my minis! Parker is 16.2 hh
, and a total gentleman.
I am sure you will hear more about him in the future, but here are some pictures of my gentle giant
And here we are tonight, taking him out quickly in the dark to try my new saddle...
Nice teeth in this picture...hahaha
I know they aren't too great of pictures, but I am sure I will get more once he is home and settled in
Thanks for looking!
