I have no idea why but I am feeling blue and just sick of people. I've had company for the last month. Having Mom was wonderful, now I have 3 boys having a blast and it makes me laugh but I still want to curl up away and have everyone go away! Tuesday can't come too soon!

I'm feeling it to!

I think its just the BLAH look outside. All the mud, no sun and seeing no grass is getting to me. I'd even like to see snow right now ..anything but mud.

Yes isn't that usual for this time of year?

Barnbum; Your remedy sounds just right.

I always get blue this time of year. I've thought about getting one of those light boxes to put by the computer. Has anyone tried those? Do they help? At least the solstice has passed and the days are once again getting longer.

Hon it's the time of year. Facts prove it, most famous for depression and blues is just after the Holidays. Hard to believe but "this too will pass"

Spring will spring and all will seem right with the world, fresh and new and full of hope. You've been through a lot and stayed strong, now it's quiet and comes the big let down.

Do for yourself, hot tub baths when your burns will allow you to, do you have a journal? Write in it, vent and hide it. It's private and yours and you can let it out there. Course we all care and are here for you too. Hugs, Maxine

i always feel really down right after christmas. it seems everyone makes a big deal out of it, and then just like that it's done and over with, i'm left there saying "hey, where did everyone go" i love the feeling i get at christmas, i wish it could stay all year round. this bummed out feeling passes soon though.

Oh Deb, I so feel the same way, but for different reasons. I'm trying to be hopeful for a bright, better new year, but am so overwhelmed with decisions and confrontations that I know I have to face and deal with. I just want to crawl under the covers and not come out. {{{HUGS}}} to you and I hope you feel better real soon.

Personally I think a big bowl of onion soup would do wonders for me

Well, I know that it's the time of year and hoopla is over and it's back to the real life, sigh.

SO today I'm making turkey soup, it's pouring rain out and nasty, I ate a bowl of popcorn with raisinettes for lunch. The guys all 4 of em leave today after soup

As Scarlet said: "Tomorrow is another day!"

Yep....feeling the same way here. Someday, things will be brighter.

I took a big sigh of relief this morning at the silence in my house. Kids are back in school, hubby is back to work. No music blasting, no TV's, no fighting, phone won't be ringing. It's wonderful!!! Muddy, misty and foggy outside, but here in the house it is so quiet and peaceful. Love It!!

Deb....hope all your company has left and you have your peace and quiet back too!!!

Company is all gone, peace returned to the hollow this morning. No more holidays, no more birthdays, love the fam but they're gone til next time. Big deep breath. Think I'll have a cuppa tea, finish my emails, check the forum, then sit and watch some TV

I can not blame the weather, as it has been warm and sunny, except when the smoke blocks out the sun, here. But I too feel very blue. The kids go back to school on thursday, but that is the same day my last two minis, my last two horses, leave. For the first time in a very long time I will have no horses, nor close access to any. My family is far away, and I issed them over the holidays.

{{{hugs}}} to those feeling the blues. I know how tough it can be, I usually get "down" this time of year too but I've got so much good stuff going on, it's not happening this year.

Be good to yourselves, get a broad spectrum light if you think that may help, and as Keeperofthehorses said, remember that the days are slowly getting longer again. I cherish every extra minute!

Could be SAD which is caused by not having enough sunlight. Try putting a Grow light bulb in one of your lamps close to where you sit most.
