It's been awhile for me and this forum, but I recall others were also having fun exploring making handcrafted soaps from scratch and also melt and pour types. Anyone still doing this. I have not done any for about 4 months and I miss it. We have a Farmers Market not to far from me and I think this year might be the time for me to expand and have more fun with the craft.

If you have directions, please share, and also does anyone have directions for making rose water from roses to make glceryn and rose water?

Lol Mary Lou, I think I need to send you something more substantive to replace your scraps, lol. It is amazing though how much longer use you get from handmade soap.

Riverrose, let me see if I have a recipe for you that may have been given to me. Are you wanting to make rose water from your roses? Glycerin is something all together different and can be bought I expensively to be combined with the rose water you wish to produce. Glycerin can be purchased at any drugstore.

I just checked the notebooks I have and rose water is not one of them. I have however used it in lotions I have made but I bought it in volume from a wholesaler when I needed it.

Here is a link for it and you will see why most people purchase it rather than trying to make their own.

Another great site is craftserver.com. Their is a wonderful forum for soap makers, lotion makers, candle makers etc I highly recommend.
