Anyone ever used these credit consolidation companies?

I was wondering if anyone has ever used Nationwide and/or Golden State and had problems with them? It looks like I may be looking at a court battle and am hoping there are others out there in the same boat. To summarize: I pay them on time and they pay my credit cards late. :new_argue: I didn't think that's how consolidation works. If they are going to pay my bills late, I think I can handle that on my own. Thank you very much! :nono:

Sounds like you are getting CHEATED.

When we got over our heads in credit cards we took out a loan against our house and paid everything off ourselves without dealing with the "middle-man". The other thing I did was get on the phone with each creditor and was able to work out lower pay-off deals with them.

It took some work and sometimes some arguing with the creditor but it got done.....

I didn't use either of those, but I did use Clear Point. I never had any problems with them. In fact, I'm making my final payment with them this month! Took 3 years, but with their help, I got $17,000 paid off. We weren't in a position to get a home equity loan, and I was having MAJOR issues paying on time. Well, when I signed up with Clear Point, I had NO CHOICE, it was automatically deducted, so I made sure the money was there. I know I couldn't have been reliable enough to make sure it all got paid off in only 3 years without them. Because I was committed to paying that, I learned to deal with other things that came up and to do without when necessary.

I sure hope you can get it all worked out. A lawsuit definitely sounds in order. You might do some searching on Google and see if you can come up with a site that logs complaints for such things. You might just be able to find others who've been cheated by these companies.

sigh.....I swear, if I could reach thru the phone, I'd....... Yes, I am being cheated and I guess I'll have to go to court to straighten this out. Why do the things you try to do to make your life easier actually turn around and make it harder?
