Her background is Sire: Tosas Clegg Rascal and Dam Pepsi Bar then further is Clegg Bars, Rascals Hankie, Bar Stool, Nurse Carrol, Silver Bar, Old Man Bay, That Rascal, Soloett, Ok's Consa Bar, Marilyn, Sweet Medic and Royal Romance. Also Wondering her papers after certain ones say (QH) I know is Quarter Horse (TB) is Thoroubred, but what is (JC)?

I know nothing about paints but she is nice and gentle and 13 years old. My Granddaughter wants a horse for 4H to ride.

Thanks for any info. Just shoot me, another horse is what we need.

JC is Jocky Club... It's the TB registry. If you want to know what the rest of the pedigree has in it you can always go to the Pedigree Query to look up the TB side.

sorry i don't recognize any of those names... but i do have a registered APHA and i wouldn't trade her for anything! nor would i sell her for any amount of money... in fact if i could xerox her i would be a very rich woman  i must say they are not all like this but i sure do love mine

I've got a couple of apha mares, but am better versed on QH bloodlines than paint. A few of those names sound like QH foundation lines - Clegg Bars I would guess is qh. If she's a sound, gentle mare that is good with kids and vets out, I'd say go for it. Pedigree, esp going back generations, isn't going to be the deal breaker lol.

Thanks everyone. We pick her up tonight on a 3 week trial basis, we are putting half down and he keeps the papers for the 3 weeks. Did I mention she is supposedly bred. We really wish she wasn't, not buying her for that. Got a question, are Paints handled the same way as miniatures as far as registration and everything. He bought these two horses in 2004. Never has transfered them. The stallion is calm and gentle but hasn't filed a stallion report, but then the stallion is not in his name. Papers though are signed but not dated or put in anyone elses name, so we can just put recent date and our name. Even though we don't really want a foal it would be nice to be able to register it if possible. Would have have all kinds of paperwork like Miniatures though?

Yep, paperwork pretty much the same. The stallion owner will have to file an amended stallion report before you can register a foal from him, and you will have to bring the mare's papers current as well.

APHA requires 4 photos, left right front and rear, and the whole registration process can be done online assuming your paperwork is all up to speed.

Good luck with the mare, hope she works out for you.
