Thanks Gage! I tend to be "out of the loop" up here on the Hilliard Flats!

I did hear of Heaven Sent Ranch "after" I had named that gorgeous tiny filly of mine "Heaven Sent" that year! haha

But I did not know the name to go with the ranch was Rogers.

I'll have to go check it out

Thanks again,

Just got back from Little King, and what a great time! It was warm ,but not hot, and of course the Eberths and their family and staff are wonderful.

Here are the prices, and some comments as I remember them. It was a 6 hour drive home, so bear with me!

Lot A was a very nice gray Substitution - son of Buckeroo-- Little Kings' Buck Amadeus.

They had the fireman's helmet on the stage, and during the auction of this colt, they had 3 representatives from the First Department. They had Ray Zoercher read a touching account of the day and the loss of Greg Cloud. Not a dry eye in the place during that. Yes, 3 farms, (one was ERL) bought him for $15,000 and then donated him back. I think Pine Ridge then bought him for $10, 000, but not sure.

Lot 1 - Nice little gray pinto filly - $1,500

They didn't give the prices on the SA or SW sale horses. I do know that one of the mares that went through the silent auction had a bad bite!! She went for over 1,500 with a filly at her side. Not too many of the sweepstates boys sold. Was a real nice red pinto - I think # 7 that IMO was the nicest one there.

OK now for the tidbits! They had a silent auction for some artwork, sorry can't remember who it was, for chartity. Neat stuff, but minimum bids fo $125 and up.

The Cocktails at the creek was awesome! Had wine, minosa, some other mixed drinks, and we got to have our photos taken with BUCKEROO!!! It was so coooooollll!

Dinner Bell derby was fun- 8 mares & Foals in the race, and the foals were all wearing little T shirts!

meals were available for a price Friday and Saturday, and dinner Sat night was free. Free Pop and Water each nice, alcohol available.

Heritage sale t-shirts for $5, got a bunch for horsey friends who couldn't be there.

Met Shadowsmystictopaz from California - Hi Andrea!! Nice to have a new friend!

Irishhills was there -- YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND I PROMISED NOT TO SAY ANYTHING!!

Did find out that John Eberth comes on the forum AND Saleboard every day just like us regular people!

Met Ray Zoercher in person, what a nice guy

And of course, BUCKEROO. Getting on, but still is THE KING. The stage full of the stallions is mind boggling, and an incredible thing to see

Lots of fun, well worth the trip!

Thank you ruffian for posting that, i was just about to ask if anyone had a actual price list who was there.

I never heard of Heaven Sent ranch before and i try to stay up to date with who's doing what as far as farms go and they are one i am going to have to keep an eye out for. 101,000 for him ...he must be outstanding. I think the mares (especially with foals at their sides) were priced pretty good, i will be attending next year with some spending money

.

Sounds great, i didnt make it this year but did last year and am going agian next year with some $$$$ to spend hopefully. I see my faverit mare that went through was also the second highest selling mare, figures lol.

We went too but did not get all the prices...didn't buy any this year. Most all of the horses there were amazing and I wouldn't mind having any of them in my barn.. :bgrin I really liked #74, she was an amazing little filly! And another 4 year old palomino broodmare with a gorgeous foal. I also have a full brother to #61 who was also a nice mare and was heavily in foal.

I'm so tired I forgot the best part ---

I came home to a Buckskin Colt! Grandson of Double Destiny!!!!!

No photos yet, but his name is LDS Double on the Rocks. His mother is LDS Cocoa Pebbles. She foaled on the day I went to Indiana, but my darling hubby wanted to keep it a surprise!!!
