Had another baby at 4:30 am this morning, text book delivery.......seems we are stuck in the dilute phase here...as we are 3 for 3 dilutes, this one is a perlino colt with a star and snip, and a dorsal; while the first two are buckskins....surely here soon I will get one of my bays or a sorrel :bgrin .
Sire is my buckskin Buckeroo son and Ramblin Starbuck grandson, Little Kings Big City Bucks and mother is smutty buckskin, Erica's Worth the Wait, who is a daughter of my BTU son, Little Kings B T Buck Bandito.....and Worthy's late dam is the dam of Erica's Prince Charming. This little boy is a full brother to the 06 perlino colt- Erica's Worth the Big City Bucks, that Suzy and Janie have.
Only have pictures from inside his stall, as even though it was nice here today he stayed in to learn about those legs of his and let momma rest too. Here he is at about 6 hrs old still folded up, he came out full of hair and all he has been doing is nursing all day and you can just see his belly growing....you would think he is a week old. Will get better pictures later in the week when he gets to go outside and play with the other two. He has got plenty of legs, pretty head and his daddy's neck; will make someone a really nice show boy.
you can sort of see his dorsal here, his momma has a big dark dorsal stripe as well...
Now i think all the other mares are jealous of the moms that have babies already, and just today several are starting to start bagging up almost overnight, maybe they are putting it into overdrive....will be crazy in a few weeks around the first of March, as that is when the majority of them are due and will probably have about 8 really close to each other, within the same week :lol:.
