Bad week here

Got a call about 1PM today Thursday Jan 13 that my mare in NC was gone.She aborted her foal yesterday- vet examined her and gave antibiotics and today she is gone.Necropsy is being done to determine cause of death.Not many details now .I will post when I get more information.I was not as attached to her as my older mare since I had not owned her for as many years.She was a baby making machine-8 babies in 8 years and never any trouble before.This has been a very stressful couple of days.1 gone on Tues and 1 on Thurs.Now I'm scared to death that somehing will happen to my other mare who was seen by vet on Tues(she was my first foal ever-bought at 1 day old with her sire and dam)She is now 22.I'm keeping my fingers crossed and saying lots of prayers that all will be ok for a while

I'm so sorry. I was were you are last winter when we lost 3 in the space of as many months. I was left heart sore and stunned by the swiftness of it all and my heart certainly goes out to any one who looses even one of their beloved animals.
