I went out and bought him a bale of alfalfa. Hand picked it and everything!
He LOVED it! Snarfed the handful I had right out of my hand like the old Bert we know. Even going as far as to pick the stuff off the ground he dropped. So I showed him where I had put the rest of the flake, and he was like YUM!!! It's in a half-barrel tub so he doesn't have to put his head down. When I left he was eating like there was no tomorrow.
I also mixed some of his normal hay in there, too.
He did get his probiotics again today- and fussed about it!
He is drinking pretty well, the tub was down a few inches (big tub, so easily a few gallons)
So, thanks for the prayers and good thoughts, I think they are working!!
