I'm looking at purchasing a gently used Beta Bi B size mini harness and have a few questions that I feel you'll be more able to answer than the young seller. First, does anyone know what the measurements for this harness are, I'm trying to fit two large minis that are closer to Shetland size. Also, I've never owned a synthetic harness before and was wondering how easy it is to punch new holes. I've heard that you can use a leather punch and then seal the opening, does anyone know what works with the Beta Bi or if it's even possible? Thanks in advance.

I have several synthetic harnesses. A Luke show harness, two shiny biothane ones that look like patent leather, and a Bio betathane one that looks and feels like leather. I think all of these harnesses are made out of nylon web with a black outer coating. I think you can punch holes in it, but you may see the interior nylon web through the hole. Good luck!

Yes, you can use a regular punch, but it can be difficult... What I use to seal the holes is a cheap little hand-held "heating sylus from a kids wood burning set.

I use Keith's small soldering iron. It is the perfect size for the holes, although it does leave residue on the iron. As with any project, be sure to measure twice and cut once, and be sure to make the hole from the backside out to avoid any rough edges against the horse.
