Bling up your harness

Has anyone added bling or dressed up their pleasure driving harness? Obviously not for show but your every day harness for driving around home and parades? I love the spotted harnesses but they can get pretty expensive. So I was thinking of adding a little bling to my plain harness. I know a woman that makes her own bling tack from the ground up. I didn't know if I should just have her do it or if anyone here had any experience doing it themselves.

If this wasn't a show harness you could go to a store like Michaels and buy jewels and glue them on. Bedazzled.

I'm wondering about using some E6000 glue to glue jewels on conchos and maybe punching a couple of holes in the harness and adding the conchos. Just a few of them maybe on the breast collar or something. I'll be using a pad under my breast collar so I don't have to worry about the back side of the conchos rubbing.

The harness I had 20 years ago, I added silver conchos to and it was awesome. I got lucky and a feed store was going out of buisness and I got it real cheap. It wasnt for show, just for me to drive around the neighborhood ha ha.

I have some conchos and silver pieces that would dress up a driving bridle nicely but my harness is brass, not silver, so it wouldn't match.

. So, the silver sits in the drawer and the harness stays plain.

How about some fake coin/medallions -- or, if your turnout is stainless, you could use real quarters -- you'd have two conchos for 50¢, and "spots" at 10 for a dollar. Pennies would coordinate with brass, even if it is mixing metals.

I found some anodized conchos that are pretty neat. Just plain star conchos but in blue, green, purple, pink, or red. I like that they are simple but add some color. They come in 1" and 1.5". I'm thinking the blue along the breast collar.
