I have a question on Breechin. Can someone tell me the pros and cons of a breechin for a team harness that buckles into the breast collar. I think they are called a side strap breechin.

Can you be a little more specific? They are appropriate for certain kinds of turnouts and not for others.

What turnouts are they appropriate for? I just have never seen a harness that had buckle in breechin straps that also had buckle in traces too. It is a leather pairs harness. I have been googling it and haven't really got a lot of info on them.

That's pretty common- you can't really use side breeching with neck collars without messing up the line of draught to the best of my knowledge and belly breeching doesn't work well with breastcollars. On full-sized horses there's usually a special buckle on the tug strap on the saddle and the breeching, tugs and breastcollar all buckle into it to keep everything in place. For the mini Freedom Collars I use, the breeching buckles directly into a special D ring on the back of the breastcollar and the trace buckles are on the same swivel ring as they are on a single harness. This simplifies things a bit in the smaller space we have to work with without sacrificing any of the stability of the older harness style. Still, the older style is quite efficient and prevents slop in the long straps needed for a full-sized pair harness.

Thanks for the info. I live in an area where drivers are few and far between. Everyone I asked around here had no answers for me. I ended up picking up this pairs harness at Martins. It is in new conditions and only needs fine tuning to fit well on my pairs.
