I went to TS yesterday and came home with another over the fence small feeder. I didnt need one... I must have 20 or more in all differnt colors. I use them in my tack room, wash area, hold my dogs tennis balls, seperate ones for shampoos, fly spray, brushes you name it!! I just love them. Seems like every time I go to a feed store I buy one.

Does any one else seem to buy things that they just sort of say, hey its under 10.00 ...think Ill buy another. What sort of things do you buy and always seem to have a lot of!!

Sort of like Jill's Dad with his T. Paper...sorry couldnt resist Jill!!

I would have to say fabric, I go to Joannes, and always end up looking at the remnants and usually buy at least one of them to do something with someday

I don't do it any more because I've stopped painting but I used to see something and think "oh I could do so and so with that" and buy one or 2, then move on and buy 2 or 3 of the next thing that I might want to paint someday. In the world of tole and decorative painters there's a saying "The person who dies with the most unfinished pieces wins." LOL

Mine is foodstuffs~LOL I tend to "stockpile". My cabinets and freezer are overflowing AND I have a steer we need to butcher in the next month

The upside is, it's all edible

I have a few things I do this with. Decorations for the hoilidays. Which includes, candles, tableclothes, and actual decorations. Just yesterday I bought a new fiber optic Christmas tree for some table somewhere. Hmm..... Oh and a gorgeous Ferris Wheel decorated for Christmas with tons of lights. I love lights! I never post my decoratiosn but I should. I have one from Easter if I can find it I will post it. Just love to decorate for the holidays.

Well mine was adding to my collection of Breyer horses, I haven't bought one in probably 6 months though. I also have a thing for purses...I must have about 50. I'm not very girly except when it comes to purses, definately a fetish for me...shoes alittle too.

I think everyone has something they overindulge in.....my husband's is fishing lures...he fishes alot, but he buys so many fishing lures...and he never uses them! Kinda irritating to me, but I guess I never use my breyer horses for anything either.

When I had the minis, I had so many halters. Only 4 minis and probably close to 2 dozen halters...I had to have one (actually 4) in every color/style...but they probably only used about 2 of them. The rest just hung in the barn and got dusty!

I'm sure I could think of many many things that I buy and I don't need....I've gotten better over the past few months and so has my husband.

The one thing I'm good about is food...I hate grocery shopping...I do have a stockpile of food in the cupboard/frig (especially in the winter months)...for a "just in case" moment. But I always stick to my list when grocery shopping, I think primarily because I want to get in and out as fast as possible...I despise grocery shopping.

I am really bad, i have a few credit cards and i save them for emergencys ....most of the time, but i always tend to slip a Cappacino, White Rabbit (like a white chocolate, hot chocolate drink), bunch of starbuck drinks on my credit card bc that little $2.99 is easier to just swipe on the credit card, then to swipe on the debit card and have to go threw my checking log and subtract that 2.99.....but my gosh do those drinks add up big time! I maxed out a credit card recently by accident, full of just McD sweet tea's...and starbuck drinks and just little tiny dollar things that i put on it, card was only $300 though luckly. I'm really really bad...

I do keep good track of my money, i have a binder divided into three sections 1) Payments 2) Savings 3) Fun Money and i have a 4th section for the horses where i keep track of hay, grain, suppliment too
default_biggrin.png
. I keep all payments on the first section (computer, phone, credit cards, internet ext) and i paperclip the money to that bill when i get paid so that is out of the way. Then i always leave myself some fun money, as i call it, and then whatever is left goes into my checking account/savings and i keep track of that...i know how much i spend on grain each month so that goes into the horse section. Its somewhat silly, but only way i can keep track of it

That is actually a great way to do it. It is a way I have used as well and makes it pretty easy when out of cash that is it till next payday. Makes it very easy to make sure important things do get paid and you can acually see how much play money you have that month.

I found it was much easier to put money away in savings that way as well.

Yep...Purses, shoes, and halters here too. The only thing that slowed me down on purses and shoes was packing when we moved into the new house. Do you know how heavy a few dozen shoe boxes are? Plus working from the home office has really limited my ability to show them off--the horses certainly don't care if what they're stepping on/eating are Pradas or Keds. And with switching purses constantly I can never find anything.

As for the horses, I too am a compulsive halter buyer. And vet wrap. I don't know why I always feel compelled to buy vet wrap, but it always seems like something I'll need when I'm looking at it.

RockRiverTiff I love to collect vet wrap as well. I am not sure what I intend to ever do with it all but at some point in life I can make a big huge beautiful rainbow wrap

I seem to buy candles all the time! I just love them! I have a cupboard full of them, but I always want more! :DOH!

God im trying to think of what stuff i get un needed.

Ok i think that it has to be anything from garage sales or flea markets that is strange

But since i have to now replace 2 engines that has stopped (never let an employee drive your truck with out a tach) lol

Mine is miniature horses. I don't NEED another one as my husband points out to me all the time. But I really WANT more!

Besides my minis....CHRISTMAS items...OMG, I already have a 12 x 12 storage shed just for x-mas things, but that was overflowing, :DOH! so now I have taken over part of the garage.

If I see something christmaseeeeee that I like ..I buy it, and if its something that I think I can work into my crafts (material in particular..everyone needs a few wall hangings, and holiday quilts dont they?
default_biggrin.png
) I seem to buy in quanity..I think its a obsession. THANK GOD, I only do this with christmas. My other obsession would be primitives for the house, ...and I dont have much room left to put alot more in.
