Can Someone Help Me With a Picture Edit

I no longer have photoshop and I won't have it again for a while because I have to buy a new copy. SOOOOO, I'm trying to edit a picture with Gimp and I'm just dying! I was able to cut the piture down from a typical square to an oval that I need, but I'm left with an oval inside of a white rectangle and that is NOT what I need. Anyone know how to get rid of the white border and just leave me with the oval picture??? I'm trying to do my silly Christmas cards online and I'm about to LOSE IT!

Nevermind! I realized there is a simple solution...BUY already made christmas cards and include the stupid photo inside!

I discovered a really good photo editing program right on line that is easy to use. It's called:

picnik.com

Give it a try when you get a chance. It's not fancy, but it does the basics, and for free.

Jayne, I've been having a BLAST with Picnik!!! Thanks for telling me about it!

I'm so glad you like it! I could not figure out GIMP at all, as it was way too complex for me, but picnik was really more my speed. I love being able to crop pictures there, and it's also the only place I've been able to understand resizing. The best part is that when you're done, it saves it back to your photos on your own computer. I'm happy I was able to help you out!
