First my puppy got hurt last Thursday- He's doing much better, thank God.

My grandfather passed away, Friday. He was 88, it was not unexpected.

Now, our brand new Arenosa colt we just got two weeks ago, has died from pneumonia. We never even got a chance to play with him.

Please, I've had enough. Make this month go away..... please..........

Godspeed, Mazda.

Lucy

 What a horrible way to start out the year. I'm so sorry for you.

Oh no I am so sorry how awful for you. Was he sick for a long time or did it come on suddenly?

im so sorry! that is so much to deal with all at once. Try to take a deep breath and keep putting one foot in front of the other. Some days thats all we can do to get through bad times. Sending good thoughts your way

Oh gosh, I am SO SORRY. It sure is a horrible way to start the year. OK, all your bad times for this year are used up now and the rest will be a good year. Remember your Grandfather with fond memories.

So sorry about your colt. Sometimes the foal pneumonia is silent and deadly. I had a close call with it once and so did a friend with one of her colts. It can sneak up and you will never know until it is almost, or is, too late.

Hugs to you in your time of emotional chaos right now. Again I am so sorry - it is tough to take all that at once.

Oh my gosh!!! I am so sorry to hear about little Mazda! I know you just posted on him in the last few days in the Arenosa thread, had NO idea he was ill. (((((HUGS)))))

Oh Lucy, I'm so very sorry. Things come in 3s so I do hope all will be positive from now on.

Neither did we, actually. He hadn't been eating well, we attributed that to the ride here and the fact he fell hard out of the trailer when he was unloaded. But when I felt his neck last night his glands were swollen. So he went to the vet this AM. They found he had two absessed teeth, but the vet thought something else wasn't quite right. He did some bloodwork and other exams, that's when he found the pneumonia. He said it was really hard to hear. He also told us it needed drained, now, but it may kill him. It would definitely have killed him if we didn't drain it. We said to save him. He passed as they were working on him.

Your not alone. I lost my Andrews Ameigo and am still working with a very very sick filly.

And the rest the group has been suffering with a bad flue virus thing that has been going around. Thankfully they have been getting better tho. I'm really looking foreward to spring.

OMG Lucy. My heart is broken for you. I'm SO sorry about your Grandpa. It is very hard to lose a loved one.

I know how happy you were to be getting the colt. What an awful shock to lose him so fast. I wish I could just give you a great big hug. I'm so sorry hon.

I am so sorry to hear of your losses this month. Things will get better and the sun will shine on you again.

Sincerely,

Freida

I'm so sorry, Lucy...this is so sad to read, and I wish something I said could assuage your grief, if even a bit.

My thoughts are with you..."enough" already...you deserve some peace, for a change.
