HELP, HELP!
new_shocked.gif

My daughter was nominated for Christmas Queen! This is an athletic fundraiser where the girls don't win by popularity, they win according to who raises the most money! The Queen last year, raised almost $1000.00 in a month!

I need lots of ideas on inexpensive things to do to raise money. Things to sell, etc.

I already plan on baking all weekend, and she is going to sell suckers, but what else???!!!!

This is seriously not fun for me right now! I am begging for any and all ideas!

Just when I thought I would get a break cause football is finished.

you could put on an auction using all donation's or auction off guys from the school (with permission) for muscle work or something.

Is she a cheerleader? i would say acution off the football players for a couple of hours of outside work somewhere.. auction off cheerleaders to maybe go into classrooms and do a cheer for someones boyfried/girlfriend kinda thing (kinda like there valentine day things?

Take the suckers or balloons and do the same type fo thing sell sing or grams or cheer o grams kinda things?

get local businesses to donate things like dinners and movie tickets-maybe a limo compnay and have a silent auction for "dates"

fastest and easiest way to raise money for this sort of thing......

Have her dress very nicely and go into local businesses and talk to managers or even better owners, and tell them exactly what she is doing...

I've been nominated as Christmas Queen and we are having a fund-raiser for our athletics program and I am looking for donors/sponsors...most will ask "how much" and she should set amounts $25, $50, $75, $100 or more and do nice personalized certificates on the computer for the businesses/people that participate - silver, gold, platinum sponsors, etc. that she can bring back to them on another day that they can hang in their office. If she wins...she can even bring them a photo of her as "Christmas Queen" and a thank you note..

When I used to do teen pageants we always had to have "sponsors" to enter pageants and this is how I did it and I never had a business say no and I actually went for higher amounts than that --- $100 or more. The key is in the presentation. Pageants are NOT cheap either, I usually would raise $2,000-$3,000 to cover the entry fee and other expenses.

If she is a cheerleader or actually on one of the sports teams, have her wear her uniform or some other sort of school wear...letter jacket, sports uniform, etc.

When I was coaching cheerleading and dance team at the high school, we did bake sales, car washes, sold cheerleaders for to work for an afternoon at local businesses (that was another good money maker, because if several girls went in the owner was usually pretty generous with their donation, silent auctions, selling single flowers with a special message hand written message on an attached card to students at school - I can't remember what that was called, but they took orders over the course of a week for $3 a flower and then on Friday delivered all the flowers, A local florist donated the flowers, the girls wrote out the cards Thursday night and then went around school all day delivering them to students. Kids loved that, and it was a status thing to wind up with a bunch of flowers. It was called "secret something" sort of like secret santas, but giving the single flowers - they were carnations I think. They raised a lot of money on that one.

Have her advertise herself at school to deliver in person "Singing Message Grams"........during lunch or recess or study hall etc.

the kids can hire her for a fee to go to whomever they choose and deliver any message they want, and she has to sing the message. You'd be surprised at how much money these kids at school will blow. She can also offer to do it by phone at home.
