I got my first driving lesson today in a desolate parking lot!

My mom was going to have a heart attack :new_shocked:

It went pretty good. She was trying to make me go really slow, but I can't do that, I need speed to complete the obstacles

: :xbud:

My mom pressed her foot on the "Imaginary brake" on the passenger side, said she needed to go home and have a drink, and I decided she sprouted a new gray hair.

I LOVE IT!

I've said it before, and I will say it again...

Look out New Hampshire, HERE COMES JESSICA! :new_shocked: :new_shocked:

Lol, I am glad you had fun driving Jess.. at least you aren't like me. I ran a stop sign within 45 min of getting my permit!

I get my license in June though YIPPEE!

Ha ha! You brought back memories of teaching a teen relative of mine to drive a car this past summer. My car! :new_shocked: We too were in a desolate parking lot. And desolate or not, those curbs got closer than I had hoped and I remember a few frantic moments trying to find the absent passenger brake pedal. I know I needed a good drink when I was done. :new_all_coholic: Glad you had fun but I feel for your mom on this one.

OK I am so with your mom and personally think no one should be allowed to drive until they are a minimum of 22..............my son is about to be 15 here in Idaho he could have his permit already at 14 1/2 IF he were in drivers ed...thank god we are too poor to pay for that :bgrin :bgrin there is NO WAY I will be in the car with either of my kids driving EVER if I can help it
default_wink.png
: I would first give them a total panic attack then follow with my own heart attack ...then there would be all the paramedics etc....

WOW :new_shocked: in Ky we don't get our liscenses until 16 and a half. Actually if you are born after 1990 you have to wait until 17.

I have had my license for almost 6 years now, and I think my mom has rode with me a total of 3 times. Thank god she did not teach me to drive or I would have gone insane. I am a way better driver then her. SHe is a very overly cautious panicky driver.

My folks were very wise people.........They hired a PROFESSIONAL driving instructor!

The guy had me out driving on the freeway 15 minutes after I got behind the wheel.......I had my liscence 2 weeks later! :new_shocked:

I remember getting my liscence,.....It was 4 years ago,...Fred taught me how to drive,...I was more nervous than he was,...It was me who needed a drink after,..not him
