Clementine just foaled *** Photos Page 2 ***

Well thank goodness for Mare Stare!

Clementine foaled at 6 am this morning (the foal is still wet as I write this). She did not lay down long enough to set off the alarm, but Wendy from Florida called me and woke me up to let me know it was happening.

She did it on her own and the foal was out of the sack and trying to stand while I was throwing clothes on and heading for the barn.

It is a Bay Colt with bright blue eyes, a large star that looks like the African continent and some white on his coronet bands.

I was watching her earlier in the night....to me she just sort of looked uncomfy but not ready. Im so glad Wendy Doer was able to call you. Shes such a doll baby and Clementine is so tiny too. Mega, huge, super, big Congratulations to you all in a happy healthy foaling

Thank you Diane from Castle Rock Miniatures for the call and the heads up. I do give Banamine after foaling, but she seems to have needed more than usual. Just gave her another injection and we will hope that helps her.

He weighs a whopping 30 pounds!!!

No wonder she wanted to lighten her load!

He is a colt and a vigorous feeder

She just bagged up before foaling and is still having some pain.

Beautiful foal, and I love those off center face markings. He reminds me a lot of this little Black mare of mine.
