Earlier this year Teresa and Art took in two CMHR horses to foster for us; Jasmine and Tina. Jasmine is the sweetest little dapple grey in the world, no tricks to that girl; she's a doll. But Tina was another story. Tina is a shetland type and brother was she a handful. Flighty, hyper, scared of her own shadow. Wouldn't take much at all to set her off. Talk about trust issues...........Teresa and Art had their hands full with her. They raved about her beauty and movement but oh, this pony was a nervous wreck.
Then Teresa got sick we knew we wanted to take Tina off her hands to ease her load, but when we spoke to her about it, she said Tina was no longer a big problem. HUH? That's right. All these months in foster care with Teresa and Art, Tina had learned a lot about life. They gave her all the basics, laid her ground work on a good foundation. She could be handled now. Tina had significantly calmed down and learned so much from them. If it wasn't for the loviing hands of Teresa and Art, Tina would have never been able to take that next step. They decided that they loved her enough to let her go where she could go where she could reach another level.
Tina graduated from Rockin R where she learned about love and trust and now has a future.
Tina went to another foster home where she could learn to drive. That's right! She has begun harness training in one of our foster homes which we hope will make her more adoptable. If it were not for Teresa and Art and their loving hand, this pony could have never gotten to this point. Teresa and Art, you have given Tina a life and a future and for that we thank you and Tina thanks you. Besides, you know how much we love you guys anyway.
