Cochise

This is a photo from this morning of our 40 year old BLM Mustang, Cochise. We adopted him in 1992 and our sons named him Cochise, because it means, if I remember right, strong like oak or wood.

Since I’ve mentioned him from time to time, thought you’d enjoy seeing our old friend.

My old man lived to be 32. He was born at our place when I was 10. We grew up together

Thank you for sharing, MaryFlora. The only "things" I've had almost as long are my 27 year old twins.

I hope they feel as well loved and cared for as Cochise, when they reach his age.

Wow, he looks great for 40!! At the barn I ride at, he looks better than a 28YO!

Thank you MerMaeve! Good genes. That and lots of feed, in summer 7# of senior feed and pellets two times a day. Winter we work up to 9# twice a day for a total of 18#.

Just to be clear....my twins are humans, not equines. If I'd had twin equines, there'd BE no twin humans!
