I don´t think the foal wasn´t in a good position, hope all is fine and they just had to reposition the foal.

Keeping fingers crossed!

according to the marestare message board the foal was in the wrong position and the vet is on the way.

Oh Heather, after all this time and love, I am so very sorry for Cocoa and you and Shannon.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. The filly was all twisted inside cocoa and we had all we could do to get her in the right position. She had her neck twisted and head back trying to come out with a front and a back leg. We almost got her out in time to save the filly but we just could not and ended up sedating cocoa. Cocoa was bred to a 27" stallion and I can almost guarantee that the foal is about 22-24".

She was just too big for poor cocoa.

Cocoa is doing fine. We let her see that baby and figure out she was not going to wake up and now she seem to be doing fine.

Thanks for you thoughts.

I'm so sorry, Shannon & Heather.

Thank God you were there to help Coco. I'm glad she seems to be doing fine. Good gosh....a 22-24" foal after being bred to a 27" stallion! :new_shocked: That's scary!

I am so sorry for your loss. Prayers for you and Coco. Sheila

So very sorry for all of you and especially Cocoa I had been watching since she went up on cam and it almost feels like losing one of our own great job saving Cocoa and prayers coming for a complete recovery.
