Keeping Connie in my prayers... Connie has done so much for our horses...

Liz R.

I'm just now getting to read this. I'm so sorry. I know too well the misery of back pain and how it can knock you completely out of commission. I'm praying Connie will recover quickly.

What a beautiful surprise to come here and see all the well wishes. I am going to be fine. This has happened once before. It is certainly no fun at all, but I am determined to get up and get going ASAP. I am not one to stay down long. I was really just trying to shave my legs when POP - my back went out completely. Down I go. I had no phone upstairs so I had to try to crawl inch by ince to the lower level of my home to get to my phone. It took me 1 1/2 hours to do that. I was completely exhausted by that time and the pain was excuciating. I called my sister (as my husband was in a meeting and could not answer his phone). She came and got me dressed ( I was not allowing the medics to come get me stark naked - no way LOL). God Bless sisters! Once she had me dressed we called EMS and off to the hospital I go. My MRI showed the same as three years ago when this happened so I am glad things haven't gotten worse or any other problems have arrived. I have severe degenerative disk disease and this is going to happen sometimes. The pain is so horrifying. The doctors and nurses were so wonderful and I am now home with a walker and have to return to the hospital on Monday for my lower lumbar pain shots (oh what fun). Back to physical therapy. I can't believe this happens with how active I am, but I am going to count my blessings that things are not worse. Things could be a whole lot worse. This will pass and I will be up and at it again in no time.

God Bless you all and thank you so very much for all your well wishes. I have to get back up and going as there are many people that count on me and the horses need me. I have the most wonderful husband in this world and I don't know what I would ever do without him. I love that man more than life itself. My children are also so wonderful and help so much. My baby girl has moved out of state, but she calls everyday and is just the best daughter. My oldest daughter is a huge huge help to me and my sweet precious grandson knows exactly how to take care of all my horses.

Happy Holidays to you and your Family human and minis

Adding my wishes for a quick recovery. It is no fun to be out of commission at Christmas time especially. God Bless.

Glad you are home - hope you feel 110% soon!

Connie, Happy to read you are back home with your family that must have been missing you like crazy. I hope you continue to keep feeling better and heal soon. I cant imagine how painful it must be for you. Sounds like youve got a huge cheering crowd to help at home you can rely on.

Still sending prayers and healing thoughts

Connie you were so incredibly supportive to me personally last year when I lost Precious. It is no wonder that you have a huge group of fans that love you as you have touched so many people.

Follow the doctors orders and let the family and friends help you now so you can recover fully before getting back to your usual chores.

Take care Connie. You are certainly in our thoughts.

Just wanted to add my best wishes for your recovery - I hope that it will be as fast as is safely possible.

Thank you all so much again. I will be fine. It is just slow going for awhile. Can't keep this girl down too long. :) I will start my lower lumbar injections Monday and can start PT in two weeks when all the inflammation recedes and then look out world.

I cannot wait to get off of all these narcotics. I really despise taking any medication at all so am looking forward to disposing of all these meds.

Doctors said I can resume my treadmill walking (no running) and my Ab Circle Pro in about two weeks also so I'm looking forward to that. They want me to work on strengthening my core to help my back. SO glad I am not in the middle of foaling season. I still count my blessings every minute of every day. Life is good - we just have a set back or two every now and again.

Just got hubby well, so I guess it's my turn now.
