Sounds like he was worth $500.oo. That sounds like a fair price. Any object is worth what a buyer and a seller agree that it is worth. You may find someone who feels it is worth more and some who feel it is worth less.

Ok thanx!Although keep in mind when I got him he wasnt trained to do any thing.I had to even train him to lead properly!!If that makes a difference...not sure!!Thanx again!!

He sounds like a really nice boy. The riding and driving is what cought my eye... I know you say you are not selling him, but to put a price on him I would have to know his age, conformational falts if any and even his backround. ( Does it sound like I know what I am talking about? Then give me a BIG E for effort! ) Seriously though - unless he is an elderly animal - I would think he is at least worth 600.00 or 700.00.

But that's just my little opinion! Lori

I got Striker for a little over $200 ....sold him for $550. But i also put allot of time into him with ground manners, working with feet, couple vet trips for shots, and little tanner rode him for me while i led him and we got him completely broke.

He was a 4yr old stallion, gelding in 2 days though ....we sold him last week.

Id say ask $100 over what you really want him if its under $1,000. So if you wanted $700 ..i would put $800-Negotiable.

I asked 600 for striker and sold him for $550 ...thats a $250 profit + got to spend time with a wonderful horse.

Do you have pics of him?

Yes u do sound like u know wa u are doing!!HeeHee!! E roy turned 6 this year...his conformation is good except his back legs turn in slightly. He does have teeth bumps but that doesnt matter does it?

Well, now I wouldnt pay more then that for him. Before you got him, being completely untrained I wouldnt even pay $500 for him.

A unregistured horse in this area(and that is that registury is considered here) that is only halter broke and is a male is around $200 if your lucky.

TRYSTIN, ID SAY PRICELESS TO YOU

BUT SERIOUSLY YOU ALL SEEM TO BE VERY REASONABLE FOR YOUR HORSES PRICING, IT MUST BE BECAUSE THERE ARE ALOT OF THEM, IS THERE? OVER HERE IN IRELAND I COULD PROBABLY SHIP ONE OVER FROM AMERICA ,FOR THE PRICE WE PAY OVER HERE FOR THEM, ITS INTERESTING! ALTHOUGH ACROSS THE WAter the prices go up,

Here, people love a mini like that.

I sold an older mare that was trained to ride and drive, she was registered WC and was 36" tall, she was definately pet quality but she was the ideal pet.

This was 2 years ago and I had about 3 people who were very interested. She sold to the first person who came to visit for $900 cash. They are thrilled with her and are still loving and enjoying her! The lady said she is the perfect mini

I only sold her ebcause she was a royal pain in the neck with the other horses and would not let any of them near the barn, she was SOOOOOO bossy!

Here's what i've found from all the auctions i go to and sales i watch happen on the internet.

People go crazy over these crazy little things. They want them for there kids and are willing to do anything for a trained one. I've seen horses that i wouldnt pay more then $400 for at an auction go for nearly $900 because people go crazy over these mini's and small ponies. They loose there mind bidding and trying to get what they want!.

But i'd price him at $700-$750 and try to get $550-$600 for him. Time and effort you put into the training you did is worth something!

Yes he is definetly pricless to me.Its interesting about the prices over in diff countrys. And people probably do go wild for minis!Even walkind down the road here people stop every day! They all want to pet and ask questions. They think hes a foal!!LOL!

He's gorgeous! Around here you could probably get $1000 for him with no problem at all.

He's a lovely fellow; you put all that work into him too--I certainly wouldn't price him less than $1000; if you can't get at least that for a trained gelding, there's something wrong somewhere!
