I've been busy tonite lighting up the front porch with our Halloween lights. It fun! Especially because its been a little stormy and breezy here and it gets me in the mood for fun.

On Saturday afternoon there is going to be a costume party for your pet in Chattanooga so I am going to be dressing up Amy. Ever try to get a German Shepherd to play dress up? It ain't been easy. She's really objecting to her hat on her head, and everything else at the moment. Been working on getting her costume together, making it fit and stay on her! I hope she will keep it on for the party. I won't give it away what she is going to be yet but I'll post her picture here if I can ever get it finished. Maybe I'll take a movie. Don't worry, its nothing scary.

I'm not dressing up. I'm a slacker. Going as myself is scary enough. But I guess I'll wear my Halloween tee shirt if it still fits!

Then we have to zoom home, stop in town so Amy can Trick or Treat some of her friends houses, then get ready for our Trick or Treaters. Dan will be out with his buddies going to every Haunted House and Corn Maze he can find so he's going to be no help.

The little kids always come before dark so I'll be rushing to get the horses fed and hunkered down. Hus and I always watch all these scary movies all night long shoveling in junk food, and I end up getting too scared to death to open up the door! Some of these costumes and masks are really scary but he makes me do it every year, drat! I still get scared watching Jamie Lee Curtis in Halloween every year! We average anywhere from 20 to 30 kids so I have plenty of candy stashed already. And please don't nobody call me on the phone screaming and scaring the crap outta me. Why does everyone do that to me??? Dang that scares me too!

So whatchagoingtodoon HALLOWEEN????

The same as always! Feed the horses and pets. Then feed the hubby. Then carve my pumpkin, light it and set it near the TV so I can enjoy it.

Ask hubby to put on Night of the living dead for me. Then I watch Ghost hunters all night while he sleeps on the couch.

Kids never come here. Maybe because our house looks like a big old haunted house.

I love OCT! The weather is neat and I love the movies all month long!

I envy anyone who gets scared while watching movies. Wish I did! But I love them anyway!

we will be taking the kids trick-or-treating on saturday, but that is all. I don't ever really get into the decorating because I would be the only person to see it way out here in the boondocks!

Since good ol' mom went into labor with yours truly on Halloween, I've always treated it like my birthday. Friday night we're having a pirate party out on the river with whatever friends are sporting enough to buy a $1 eye patch (and a few that I know will go a whole lot further - I'm going as Smee). For Saturday we are trying to decide if we want to go to Fright Fest at Six Flags or the Wildlife Scary Park. And Sunday since Mo has never hosted trick-or-treaters before we're going to hand out some of the good stuff (and eat some of it too) and have a movie marathon.

I started kid-proofing the farm last week and have set up a schedule for friends and family to check on the horses while we're out of town on Saturday night. We haven't had any Halloween issues yet, but it's been one of those years so far, and this year there's also a haunted house only two miles down the road.

Hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

We used to do a lot around Halloween, but since my youngest, is 25 years and all have left the coop.

The young ones have moved to the city...

So only have my one grand child who stops in, so do not do too much.

Miss it all thou...

I give out usually big chocolate bars and MacDonald's coupons.

If lucky about 5 kids.

This is my first Halloween in my own house (vs an apartment building) so I'm excited about trick-or-treat time! We have lots of kids in the neighborhood so it should be a cute night. Halloween is hubbys favorite holiday and since we have birthdays end of October and beginning of November we are planning to celebrate both of ours together on the weekend, maybe invite a few friends over for the evening. I wish we had more Halloween decorations to put up, we will probably just end up with a string of lights and a couple of carved pumpkins.

For the first time since we've been married (10 Years). We are going to have some fun for halloween.

We never had a reason to do anything, no kids, & we live in the country so no trick or treaters.

But this year we are going to the Katy horse show. They have a stall decorating contest, the kids are going to be trick or treating at the stalls. A haunted house, dance, all kinds of fun sounding stuff going on.

We are really excited.

So I've been buying decorations, have a costume for our dog Bandera to wear (she's thrilled).

Going to have all kinds of treats for the kids, adults & four legged friends.

So if anyone is attending the GHMHC Fall Extravaganza, look us up.

Were taking Colton to indoor trick or treating at the mall(I dont want him out in the cold during regular trick or treating, hes only 4 months), then after the mall were dropping him off at my sisters for a couple hours so we can go out to dinner for our anniversary. Halloween is our favorite holiday, so we had a costume wedding on halloween. Never thought that we would juggle anniversary plans with trick or treating. This past sunday we had a mini halloween countdown get together at our house with family and friends. I made pulled pork, orange pasta salad, pumpkin roll, green and purple iced cupcakes, candy apples, rice "maggot" pudding, and we had apple cider. I popped in the nightmare before christmas and supplied pumpkins and carving supplies. It was a a good time, and Colton had a ball.

Going to the ECMHC Halloween Spooktacular Show on Saturday. I have never been before, but I hope it will be a lot of fun. We are taking all the horses from the farm so I can't wait to see how my "little project filly" will do in the show ring.

We are also horseshowing!

I am taking my grey driving gelding "D.R" as my one little horse to pull the Cinderella Carriage my poor poor boyfriend signed up making for me.

We will then do the Cinderella and Prince Charming thing. I'm thrilled. For those that remember me, I am a Big horse costume person- and always go all out every year.

We've done a peacock, a pirate ship, and then she gets a break this year!

Then we have a halloween party that night, and plan on snacking on candy

Sounds like everyone has great plans!

We're almost 2 miles off the road so we never get trick or treaters and no point decorating without kids at home anymore LOL

I buy candy anyway so I have goodies to eat in relation to the holiday LOL

But this year we're babysitting the two grandgirls while Holly & Josh go to a Halloween party (complete with costumes - but I'll let her post what they'll be LOL). The girls will go trick or treating early and then stay with us while mom & dad go have fun.

I guess there will be no spooky stuff allowed on my tv that night for ghostly thrills as we'll most likely be watching their favorites ICarley or Hanna Montana and they are all repeats of course. LOL

Happy Halloween Everyone!

I will most likely go trick or treating with my nephew (praying for rain). Other than that Nothing because I hate Halloween. I was traumatized on Halloween when I was 4 years old and I hate the day.

My family used to do alot for halloween but since we moved out in the "Middle of No where" we really don't like to go trick-or-treating as much since the houses are so far from each other. Plus the falls are always so cold up here in Maine so we end up covering up our costumes with jackets! What fun is that!? Next year we may trailer 2 of the minis into our little town and dress them up :D Wouldn't people be surprised to see them!

We also are way out in the sticks. No T or T's out here. Art and I are going to drive 30+ miles to go T or T with Cubby for as long as I can walk. This is going to be FUN!
