Curious .. How do you monitor mares ready to foal

Yes I see your point ... I did consider getting a camera for that reason as the barn is

along way from the house so sometimes I have to walk out and check on a horse that

is off several times a night. It just may be worth the investment BUT my biggest problem with that is my barn is Metal and it is 500 to 600 feet from the house.

There is no trees or buildings between us and the barn but it is not easy to find a

camera that will go that distance. Still searching for one.

If your barn is that far from the house, could you put a computer in the barn to hook the camera to, and then you watch (using MareStare) from the house on a second computer?? Maybe you have an old computer that still works? Just a thought (from someone with 4 computers!)
