Well, we saddled him up...he didn't think anything of it. I worked him some, and he was fine the whole time, so I let Abbey sit on him. Her sister walked alongside, and we led her around for maybe 5 minutes. Angel (Fikes Diplomat Spirit) is 7, and we don't know a lot of his history. Seems like he has done this before? Hopefully, the picture I uploaded is attached?

I think alot of these little ones are born to carry children. They just fall right into it and show so much pride that they are carrying such a precious load. That is a very cute pricture

Thanks! Abbey Rose is so proud of her little horse. He's really a character. He's our first mini, we hope to have him for a very long time.

Very cute! However I STRONGLY recommend you get your daughter a helmet. No matter how gentle (or small) the horse, accidents can and do happen. Believe me it is no fun having a critical care ambulance make a visit to your place for lack of a helmet. And yes I know that first hand! Luckly for her our daughter only suffered a severe concusion, It could have been worse. Had she been wearing a helmet she would have been perfectly fine. Her excuse for not wearing one ( she knew we required her to wear one) " She was just riding around the pasture"

UWHarrie,

Thanks for the reminder! You know, she has a little Troxel I bought her, and honestly I totally forgot to put it on her!

When we ride the "big guys," helmets are mandatory. I'll make sure they are on the little ones, too!

Funny story,

many people have said to me that all the times they have fallen off, they have NEVER hit their head. My answer is, "yeah, but do you know how many times I've hit my head while still on the horse?!" It's true!
