Yayyyy for me. Well you know what they say if no one else cares toot your own horn. But l have to say it is very hard everyday still but not as hard as it seemed a few weeks ago. l can smell things better and run farther without feeling like l'm going to have a heart attact along the way. Feels great to take a deep breath and feel high not dizzy. After smoking for 42 years this feels good and l'm saving at least 308 a month not paying for the darn things which is better spend on something barn related. Besides l feel like l have so much more energy now and am loving it. Hope l make it to a year a big goal but l think doable l know 33 days is just a spit in the bucket but it's a start..

:aktion033: GOOD FOR YOU!!! Although it may seem like just a baby-step, it is a HUGE milestone!! CONGRATULATIONS, and keep up the hard work. I am an "ex-smoker" too...it's been 7 years now, so I KNOW where you're at, where you've been and hopefully, where you're headed!! You deserve a HUGE pat on the back!!!

Just think in only eleven more months it will be a year. Keep at it. You will be glad to know that just a couple of days ago they went up another $1.50 a carton on our side of the border so you are now saving even more money !!!!!

WHOOOO HOOOOO!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of you!!!! :aktion033:

"A year" sounds too far out of reach. I put that out of my mind and won each day at a time and WOW I reached a year! What a feeling!

You ARE doing this! You're kicking that Nic-demon's butt!

33 days is aweome! WAY TO GO!!!!

My 4 year quit anniversary is this coming Monday. I don't know if my avatar is working, but if it is, the little guy pictured was my quit smoking gift from my husband. I'd much rather have my BT Charlie than a cigarette

Keep up the good work, and just take one day at a time. You're doing so great! :aktion033:

You are doing great just one day at a time--that's how we all are doing it.

I can relate to what you are going through and it is the hardest of all addictions to overcome. I quit for three months until I had a major meltdown moment at Xmas. Started again but knew I wasn't done trying. Today is my second nonsmoking day so you are not alone. Good Luck to both of us.

Good for you wcr :aktion033: here is what l copied and stuck up that Reo posted a while back it really helped me stay focused and l read it often right in front of the computer beside a candle for comfort. l thank her for posting this everyday it just helps so much.

They were always there, day and night. They went everywhere with you. You had them when you were happy, sad, having a think, stressed out, in company or alone. The one thing that was always there.

NICOTINE was not your friend. That dirty SOB was using you, don't let it win and rule your life anymore.

l am so jealous of all the people that have given up smoking on here you all deserve a big pat on the back for encouraging others to go for it without putting them down. :aktion033:

Thanks Relic

Quitting is a big pool. The ones that have quit are swimming in it. The ones that want to quit stand around the rim. The ones that have started your quit are in the pool but in the shallow end. I can't swim! I'm afraid I'll go under!

Let me say I've never swum before in my life and was SO afraid! And now that I'm in that pool, I say

COME ON IN THE WATER'S FINE!

You will not have to be alone, I will swim with you and you won't be alone. I thought it was a myth that it COULD be done, and never in a million years did I think that *I* could. I spent 5 years being scared to death to even try! But now that I know that it's real and even I could do it, I'd like to help others if I can.

Relic, I have some great words that helped me and if you email me, I'll pass them on to you.

Everyone that did this, that is doing it now and thinking of doing it are AWESOME!
