So much heartache & sadness .. I'm sorry I am not an eloquent speaker but I've read something a while back that may give you some solace .....

I’m Okay

I know all the pain and hurt you must feel

I know I left some emptiness behind

I know that your heart aches deep within

But I want you to know I’m just fine

Death is always harder on those left behind

Life is something fragile for all of us

I want you to know I heard every word

When you told me you loved me so much

And in my own way, I told you too

Because I lived each day to be with you

I, too, remember all the times we shared

And know love will carry us through

I just want to make sure of one thing more

That you turn this pain into love for another

So many animals need safe and loving homes

Give my place to another

Then life will carry on and your tears will soon dry

As you learn to live life without me there

My heart sank when I saw the title of this thread. We'd all been so excited about your mare delivering...poor thing. I'm sure she's devastated too and probably doesn't understand what's going on. I hope she recovers fully and will give you many more beautiful babies in the future.

And I'm very sorry about your poor beagle. It's horrible to lose them to such things as tumors. It just doesn't seem fair. :no: My prayers are with you and your family, including the four-footed ones.

I am so very sorry for your heartbreaking losses-it seems ESPECIALLY unfair for anyone to have to endure two such occurances in such a short time...like many, MANY others who have bred miniature horses, I have also experienced the tearing distress of a loss due to dystocia, so my heart is with you at this sad, sad time. Sending hope, also, for your little mare to recover completely!
