I just got this filly a few days ago (traded my one and only big horse for her), and it has been storming and just too muddy to do anything outside or take pics. I gave her a bath and took her pics this morning. Her name is High Stockings Tumbleweed, or Moonie as I call her. She is 25% falabella, from her sire. He is a black and white tobiano, and her dam is a silver Dapple overo. On her dams side she has several generations of Frame Overos, including several LTD and CSF horses. And her sires side has alot of Leopard apps.

I am going to get her tested for lwo just incase. My hope is she has it, but if she doesn't thats ok. She has the spots on her flanks and one in the center of her back that are almost silver looking she has so much roaning, from sabino I believe. A medicine hat, the side of her face that shows you can see her, the other side just has a tiny spot of eyeliner, a spot on the corner of her mouth, and she has a small black spot on her nose (Her doorbell lol) She has dark brown almost black eyes. And the bird like mark on her chest that is also very roany. But her face/head markings and forelock are Jet black.

Whats your guess? Do you think she has the gene? Oops! Forgot the pics lol. Here they are:

I am not at all good with or knowledgable about pinto "things" but none the less, my hunch is "YES". Her markings are neat looking!!!

Congratulations Christina on your new filly! I would suspect she carries LWO but like they say, you won't know for sure until you test!!

Oh YES, definitely! She has that Frame pattern on her back, AND the coloring on her lower legs. She is showing classic signs of the Frame pattern, even tho it's partially hidden by the other patterns. I would bet money she will test positive for Frame.

Thanks for all the complements.

Dona,

you posted right as I did. I forgot to say the bottom of her legs are not dark. We have been having storms and everyones covered in mud. All 4 legs and hooves are white.

IMO, I would say Yep, she carries frame

Also, I donno if it is Sabino roaning or rather that she is a blue roan? Either way, I really like her, and would say she is a LWO+ Tovero... But no way to know for sure without testing.

She is 34-35 already, and will turn a full 2 in July. She is a big girl, but very pretty. Her sire is 34", her dam is 35"

She's very flashy. I think she will test for Frame as well.

I figured since you said you had just given her a bath, that her legs were clean. That is why I thought her lower legs were dark. But regardless of her white legs....I still think she will test positive for Frame. The partial pattern down her back is a dead "givaway", IMHO.
