Doing the Happy Dance...

[Black Magic]

Twenty three mos ago, our mini Black Magic got through a gate, and ran loose in the neighborhood. He found this piece of land that was being foreclosed upon. When I caught up to him, and went to drag him home, he got out of the way, just in time and ran and stood on a "For Sale " sign. Hubby and the kids and i were running like crazy, trying to catch this 325 ornry beastie... We both grabbed his halter, while he was standing on the sign, and we both looked at it, as our eyes locked on the sign. One month later, we closed on the land. It's only four acres, but with four minis and a QH.. and land attached to it, also for sale, it has alot of potential.

Eleven mos later, we closed on a construction loan for a new house on the property. Eleven mos, I've waited... for something, anything to be done on this piece of land... Last week, they said, that this Weds.. (today) we'd hear something about when they would do something on this piece of land... I couldn't wait and called Tues. evening. I was told, give them another week... I was crushed...

So today, I went over to the property, where the fence man is putting in a mini track, (on top of a retention area) and there they were... that glorious crew of construction people...

My house is now underway! I am so relieved... I just want to jump on the roof and start screaming.. it's finally started...

but I reconsidered, as it's way cold... out tonight, here in Fl... so I just thought I'd post it here... Miracles do happen.. and it won't be long now, until, on that abandoned piece of land... that our first mini found... we will have a really cool, up to date... gourmet kitchen... french doors, etc... new home built! :bgrin :488:

Isn't it amazing what a mini can get ya into??? Lol..
