I saw him at Nationals 2 years ago when he was was with the McKieths, then almost got him last year from the Barths. There is just something about him that clicked in me--I'm not even going to pretend I'm getting a pony for Patty--he's MINE!! I offered to trade a filly out of my National Champion driving mare (sired by Marcia's stallion) for him and it's a deal

Patty showed him at Congress last night in his first ever driving class, and took third in Youth Country Pleasure. He didn't place in his halter class, but I love how he looks. He will be my Carriage pony, and probably CDE.

So, here he is, Michigan's Blue Cobalt (last summer out of the pasture):

He is a 40" Foundation Gelding. He measures 37 3/4" AMHR--I had one of the stewards at Congress measure him both ways. He is double registered, but don't know that I'd show him AMHR. We'll see. Actually, don't know if we're showing at all next year! We may take a year off AMHR and do ADS instead.

I had a Classic mare for years, Penny Arcade. It was in my pre-showing days. She was a retired show mare who turned out to be infertile, so I got her, a 4 wheel cart and her harness for $500. What a kick butt driving horse!!!!! I can't wait to get Baby Blue home!!! Carin Ponder is dropping him and Patty off on her way home tomorrow :aktion033: :aktion033: :aktion033:

I attended the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University!! I was born and raised in Jenison, Michigan and went to Hope College in Holland, Michigan.
