At her GALLOP!!!! I am in tears as I post this, I never thought she would have the chance to live or walk much less gallop again. She has been doing so well the last few days, I wanted to share a video with you...I guess that she knows her limits and she does not over do it... God Bless her

Dreamer from today October 05, 2008

I am so happy to see Dreamer doing so well!! I shed alot off tears for your girl and you all..

Glad everyones prayers worked so well for her...

I am soooo happy to see her running like that! You have done such a wonderful job rehabilitating that gorgeous mare! The love you have for is so obvious!

Thank you for the update on her, she is a beautiful girl.

She will only get better Teresa! Rose was out barrelling around today, high blowing and kicking up her heels -- would hardly ever know that she had a dislocated hip and that one leg is 2" shorter because of the surgery --- she is also really sneaky and tries very hard to go places she knows she is not allowed to go!

Oh my goodness, Theresa.. That brought tears to my eyes.. I followed every day, and I was glued to LB for updates on the very sweet Dreamer.. That is just.. well no words can describe how nice it was to see her running..There are angels on this forum and i know a lot of us know that, but, YOU and Art, are totally caring and wonderful animal " parents". You two played a major role in how well she is doing. I still remember seeing you sleeping in there with her.(I know I would have done the same thing

It's pretty amazing when you think back to how she was then and how she is now

We LOVE her very much! The power of prayer is AWESOME!!!! But she is the one who derserves all the praise...It would not have mattered how much we pushed her to go forward and wanted her to live. She HAD to have that same determination. And she did. Only once, when she was in ICU the 2nd time did she start to give up. The surgeon thought she was giving up because we were not there for long periods of time with her, and he thought she felt abandoned. We thought so too. When we showed her we would be there almost everyday, she came back. Most horses perfer to be in their own herd, not her...She is a momma's girl and would rather be with humans than horses... And I swear by this....we took a towel and rubbed ALL her pasture mares with it and placed it in her stall for her to smell....She came alive! And within a week she was back home...Coincidence?? We perfer to think not...Again Thanks Everyone....

Theresa you're right, she definitely did have to have the will to survive, but no matter how hard she was ready to fight, without you and Art she wouldn't have had a chance. I have an idea the 3 of you share a very special bond; one that most of us will never have no matter how much we love our horses. Thank you so much for sharing that wonderful video with us.
