The first one has dwarfy characteristics. Both show poor conformation but the biggie is that they need food. Probably wormed, vaccinated, and everything else.

I am sure there's not much to be done about the situation, sadly.

I suppose something else could be going on, but IMO, a horse in that condition should not be for sale 'til it's rehabilitated, and the person buying the first colt may well think they have a breeding-quality stallion they are investing in.

I've seen large-size farms sell similar quality pulling the wool over newbie's eyes just to make a quick buck. Have to say, though, that when I see the things I see, I never forget.

Maybe I should try an email to her to see if she knows they could use more food. Not trying to be judgmental, I just feel very jaded after the last few months of observing people's behavior both when they knew they were being watched as well as when they think noone's looking (mostly in the Miniature Horse world, but other places, too). I fear my suggestions would be met with a reaction of anger, and I'd really only like to see those colts look like they have enough food, and the first one never bred, if at all possible.
