*snickers* LOL. I was homeschooled for 10 years and going back into high school it's amazing how different it is! I definately see no reason for people to attack homeschooling so much.

But...I'll admit that I did laugh, and there's now orange juice to clean up off the floor.

I can't decide whether to laugh or cry, but yes unfortunately it doesn't surprise me.

Well, be glad you got a note- all I ever got was a grunted excuse!!! Never had an absence slip in 25 years!!!

So they may not be able to spell but at least they had common courtesy.

Jokes aside we have also to remember that ,for some of these people, English is not their first language.

There is also the fact that, when I was a child, I was taught at school, badly, and I was also home schooled as my Mother took an active interest in the things I was learning and read books with me, etc. I thought it was fun, but, in fact, those "come on and read me a bit of your book" sessions were "learning"

Nowadays they sit in front of a Computer or a TV.

Parents and kids alike.

I'm all for "homeschooling"

You are not allowed to do it here.

Not without passing stringent tests to prove you can, and your kids are then tested to a level far higher than a child in school.

Makes NO sense.
