I am trying to get everything ready for my first foals and I am getting very nervous about it! So, I was wondering which foaling alarms do you think is the better?

I have the equipage system, and also barn cameras. The two systems together make foaling so much less stressful, AND you even get to do a little sleeping :bgrin

: . I wouldnt be without either. Love my equipage. Corinne

I also have an equipage system with cameras. Nice friendly service and fast.

We have an older Breeder Alert system and when we replace it, we will probably go with Equipage.

I also feel the camera system is a must.

We have the Breeder Alert system with cameras and a monitor in the house. It is used for foaling and also when we have a sick horse. Wouldn't want to be without either one.

I've only ever tried Equipage and it is a great system. Also - cams are a must - and you can even go one step further and have you cams up on the internet on www.marestare.com. That way lots of eyes are watching your girl - it is awesome.

We love the Equipage system and cameras! Once you have them you won't know how you lived without them

I got my camera last week and right now I"m watching a mini horse and mini donkey while in my room, I LOVE that it's so neat

I will be having it on marestare.com in a month or so (mare not due until April so I'm not in a big hurry for that, one thing at a time)... so now I was just thinking about the pager things!

Looks like equipage is winning...

what is the difference between the two?

Breeding alert is bigger if I´m correct so I would choose equipage, and I have.

I bought an equipage last year, because they had a smaller box for Minis (the peice that goes on the halter) and also it was slightly cheaper.

I have breeder alert and a barn cam. Never had equipage. I am happy with my breeder alert though. Service is great and quick too. You NEED a barn cam too though.

I have both systems and like them both. They both work on the same principal and are virtually the same thing, the main difference being the transmitter that the mare wears. The Equipage transmitter fits horizontal on the mares' halter under her jaws while the Breeder Alert transmitter fits more vertical. What I have found is that there seems to be fewer false alarms with the Equipage as the mares' don't seem to catch the transmitter on buckets and feeders as they do with the Breeder Alert transmitter.

Equipage and camera's here too. Love the equipage, its easy and reliable. :aktion033:

I have equipage and love it, along with cameras of course. Never used the breeder alert though. I get lots of false alarms but better that than missing the births.
