Among everything else I guess Tracey's bones are bothering her in this cold weather.

So, I tried one tablet of my Ascription and hello nut doggy! She's running around like a goof ball wanting me to play bally here at 11:00 pm. Guess it did the trick.

Anyone else try this?

Our old Vet from the old house told us to use that on one of our dogs. It worked wonders. It is supposed to be better then asprin doesn't upset there tummy.

Yep, used a half of one a day for years for a Norwich Terrier, Tontines Limehouse Chappy. He had a back problem and the vet wanted to do surgery on him. I said he was too old for that and opted for half of an ascription a day. He did great and I later stopped and he lived to a ripe old age.

He was a favorite dog of mine. He had a long show career well in to his veteran years, was one of the top Norwich in the US for several years and was the top Norwich in Canada for two years in a row. It was his back problem that stopped his show career at eight years old. I think he lived on to 13 years old.

Don't use asprin it is hard on the stomach. I was using asprin at the end of his show career before I took him to the doctor. One of the last times I showed Chappy I had given him an asprin and he kept throwing up in the Group ring. The kid doing ring cleanup just followed us around the ring to clean up after Chappy. Everyone around the ring saw it but fortunately the judge was busy looking at other dogs and missed it.

Yes, have used Ascriptin for years. It is simply aspirin with Maalox (sp?) It is much easier on the stomach than regular aspirin. You can also use Bufferin or Ecotrin.

My parents used to give it to some of their dogs as they got older. Like was said, it's "just" buffered aspirin.
