1964 for me...
I had a stuffed Woody Woodpecker that talked when you pulled the string - my grandpa gave him to me when I was three and I was terrified of Woody. I still have him - he can't talk any more but he is still loved.
The Fisher Price Teaching Clock was my favorite - loved the sound it played. Was furious when my mom gave mine away when I was ten but thanks to eBay, I have a new one that plays the same song.
: Wish I had it for my boys when they were little as they both loved "tick tock clocks".
I loved baby dolls - still have one that was dressed in an elf outfit and one that played Rock a Bye Baby. Always liked the ones with quiet sleeping faces - also had a doll with two faces that terrified me - one sad face and one happy face. Never found out where she ended up... she had a soft plush body that I liked to hug.
A Marx pull toy duck - he was huge and quacked when he rolled along....
A Fisher Price iron that played "This is the way we wash our clothes..."
The Fisher Price telephone that had a rotary dial - my kids had one before they discontinued it.
Breyer horses and the "Best of the West" series...
Last, but not least was my rocking horse. I vividly remember climbing out of my bed in the middle of the night just to ride... and my mom would have to put me back to bed.
Great thread... fun to remember....
