I feed an Endophyte free fescue hay called Fuego, I will try and get a picture of it today and post it.

Okey Dokey, here is the picture of the fescue I feed.

Fescue comes in many types, this one is called Fuego and it is an endophyte free variety. It's very clean and soft and the horses love it.

It would be safe since it is not actually the fescue grass that is harmful but the endophyte.

Since I am not breeding anymore the fescue problem is no longer a problem here at my place.

However if I were still breeding I would probably steer clear of all fescues no matter what variety, but I'm also a huge worry wort.

The guy I get this hay from breeds Paint and QH's he feeds it to his mares with no problems.
